How To Find A Relationship Manager in HDFC Bank?

At present, HDFC is THE LARGEST bank in India as of 2025, and considering it is a private sector bank, that fact right there is just purely impressive. And that’s just because the way HDFC connects with customers is just amazing, like, they make sure that every customer of theirs is happy with their banking services. And you know how do they do that? Well, first of all, their banking services are top-notch, and then their staff is just well-trained to make every customer feel special. Then there are “Relationship Managers” at every branch of HDFC bank that make sure this is how everything is going, you know, every customer is leaving the branch happy, no matter what. So, let’s just talk about these relationship managers a bit more and see how to find a relationship manager at HDFC Bank. Alright then, here we go.

Who Really Is A Relationship Manager in a Bank?

HDFC Bank

If you think that relationship managers aren’t for the general public or the average customer of the bank, then you’re actually wrong in that. How? You see, these relationship managers aren’t there to help out on the businesses and high-net-worth people, nah, instead they focus more on the regular people/customers of the bank. That’s just the main part of their job role, and with that, they just want to make sure that you as a customer have a healthy and happy relationship with the bank, which is ultimately a good thing for them in the long run.

Their main magic comes into play in making sure that YOU (a customer of the bank) are satisfied with the bank’s services and have no problem at all with the way the bank is treating you. And since we’re at the treating part, it is actually the bank people and a relationship manager that make you feel special, which in itself is a special treatment, wouldn’t you agree? Though, this isn’t the only thing that relationship managers do at the bank, we’ll come to that later what else they do.

What Else Do Relationship Managers Do At A Bank Branch?

So, let’s now see what else a relationship manager is responsible for when it comes to connecting with customers on a day to day basis and going through their daily tasks. Here:

  • Well, as you already got the idea that a relationship manager is the one who talks to the customers/clients in a bank branch when they have some sort of issue that the normal bank people can’t seem to solve. In this case, a relationship manager will be called and connected with the customer to make sure the customer is satisfied with the services of the bank.
  • See, not a lot of people know how to manage their money effectively, and that’s where also a relationship manager can become a huge help. How? Well, they can advise you a lot and refer you to more banking services which can help you manage your money better or grow it even more.
  • You may already know that other than just the basic banking services, there are other banking product options that are usually available, especially when it is a big bank like HDFC Bank, you know? When you connect with a relationship manager, they’ll try to pitch these products to you, not just for the benefit of the bank, but only if these products are of some good use to you as a customer of the bank.
  • It is not just about the customers all the time, you see, a relationship manager is also looking into how things are going at the bank branch. They have access to a lot of analytical tools to look at the full picture view on how things are going in a bank branch, you know, the performance stuff we’re talking about here.
  • This is often not the case with regular customers, but if you’re someone who has a personal relationship manager assigned to you by the HDFC bank, in that case, they can also manage and advise you on your investment portfolio too.

Who Gets an RM in HDFC Bank?

It is true that you can get access to a relationship manager at a bank branch by just asking for one, but if you haven’t a relationship manager assigned to you already, then you can’t do much about it. Why? Well, with HDFC Bank, there are only a selective number of customers who get their personal RMs, you know, usually, RMs are assigned to customers who are part of special banking programs like:

  • Imperia Banking
  • Preferred Banking
  • Classic Banking

These programs are for customers who:

  • Keep higher balances in their accounts,
  • Use multiple banking services (like loans, insurance, investments),
  • Or are high-net-worth individuals (HNI).

In the end, if you are part of one of these programs or are a selective customer of the bank, then chances are that you already have a relationship manager assigned to you.

If you are part of one of these programs, chances are you already have an RM.

Ways to Find or Contact Your Relationship Manager

And here we are, with the most important part of this post and which is related to finding the relationship manager at HDFC Bank. So for that, there are a few things you can do.

Let’s say you’re just a regular customer, in that case, you can simply go to a nearby bank branch, and talk to the bank people about your issue, and if they aren’t able to solve it, you can ask for a relationship manager. They’ll call him/her for you and connect them with you.

But let’s say, you’re already a selective customer of the bank (remember the banking programs we talked about?) then you probably have a relationship manager already assigned to you. All you need is just find a way to contact the RM. How would you do that? Well, we’d say that you can call this number: 70433 38199. Though, they are only available on working days, like Monday to Friday.

Another way is to just use the HDFC Bank mobile app. How? Well, first of all, just open the app, and from the main menu, select or tap on your banking program name like Imperia/Preferred/Classic. Then you’ll probably see an option or button that says something like “Request a callback from RM.” Give it a tap and probably the RM will be in touch with you shortly.
